Every September, Hunger Action Month calls on people across the country to take a stand against food insecurity. Here, in Kansas City, that call hits closer to home.

Right now:

• 1 in 7 people in KC don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

• Many of our neighbors are working full time and still can’t afford groceries.

• Food waste continues while families go without fresh, nourishing meals.

At The Prospect KC, we believe food should be more than filling, it should be fuel for change. That’s why this month, we’re turning action into impact one meal, one volunteer shift, one donation at a time.
